A physical therapist (PT) is a specialist trained to work with you to restore your activity, strength, and motion following an injury or surgery, or involving a disease. Physical therapists can teach specific exercises, stretches, and techniques and use specialized equipment to address problems you might be experiencing.
SPEECH PATHOLOGY THERAPY
Our speech therapists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients.
Helping people of all ages promote health, and prevent—or live better with—injury, illness, or disability. Occupational therapy services include:
an individualized evaluation, during which personal goals are determined;
customized intervention to improve the person’s ability to perform daily activities; and
outcome evaluation to ensure goals are being met and/or make changes to the intervention plan.
MEDICAL SOCIAL WORK
Helps patients solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives, especially those stemming from an injury, condition, or disease. They also treat mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. Social workers identify other groups, governmental agencies, and organizations who can assist the patient collecting information regarding financial, transportation, and emotional support resources to better handle the diverse challenges they’re facing.
CERTIFIED NURSES' AIDES
Signature’s Certified Nurse Aides provide intermittent assistance with activities of daily living (“ADLs”). These trained aides work with our patients and caregivers until independence with ADLs is improved. This discipline delivers support in conjuction with therapy and skilled nursing services to assist our patients recover or reach their maximum potential.
