What is the Cardiovascular System?

The cardiovascular system or circulatory system has the primary task of delivering oxygen and nutrients to every single cell in the body. It is comprised of the heart, blood vessels, (veins, arteries, and capillaries) and the blood that circulates throughout the body.

This complex process starts when the air we breathe oxygenates the blood sent from the heart, the oxygen rich blood travels throughout the entire body through the arteries, and the veins return it to the heart to be pumped again and repeat the entire process your entire life.
